Hon. Abdullahi B dabai, the deputy chairman on house committee on IDPs led a delegation of 10 Honorable Members to the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons for fact finding exercises.
The CEO, NCFRMI Hon.Tijani Aliyu Ahmad Opened the exercises by debriefing the committee of the commission’s priority plan, activities so far, progresses and steps back, emphasing on skills over palliative approaches towards attaining durable solutions.
The committee were impressed by the project’s scope and adherence to the core mandate of the commission, nevertheless questions, advises particular on procurement regulations and financial expenditures are areas that needs proper attention and a comprehensive document should be submitted before our next meeting.
The HFC provided copies of the commission’s SOPs,2023 annual report and Establishment Acts.
