The political drama unfolding in Osun PDP is nothing short of a tragicomedy, where loyalty is punished and opportunists reign supreme. Hon. Wole Oke, the Obokun/Oriade federal lawmaker, has become the latest victim of the Adeleke dynasty’s vindictiveness, all because he dared to demand development for his people and openly applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (PBAT) policies. The AISU gate-crashers, puppeteered by their paymasters (Bala Mohammed, Ademola Adeleke, and Atiku Abubakar ) have unleashed Abuja-based lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi in a laughable attempt to malign a man whose only “crime” is prioritizing his constituents.
Oke’s ordeal began when he amplified the grievances of Ijesa North, a region neglected by Governor Ademola Adeleke, who has concentrated development efforts almost exclusively on his hometown, Ede. When Oke assured his people that he would liaise with the state government to include a critical bridge in the 2025 budget (a promise he fulfilled), the PDP attack dogs, led by Olajengbesi, swiftly accused him of anti-party activities. The irony? This is the same man who fought to keep the Adelekes in PDP when they were nearly schemed out after the 2019 elections, the same man who bankrolled their (Adeleke’s) 2022 victory in his federal constituency, and the same man who welcomed them into PDP after their opportunistic defection from APC.
The gate-crashers’ narrative is as flimsy as it is malicious. They label Oke a “political paperweight,” yet Ijesa North voters remember how he stood firmly by Dr. Deji Adeleke when party insiders accused him of mismanaging funds. They falsely claim he didn’t work for Adeleke’s 2022 victory, but records prove otherwise. Now, they’re peddling the absurd lie that Oke is blocking Olajengbesi’s 2027 House of Reps ambition, a laughable claim, given that Oke already supported Pelumi’s campaign with his strategic team and has never even hinted at contesting again. Though, this blatant disrespect might just provoke him to throw his hat back into the ring.
The Adelekes’ playbook is clear: use, discard, and malign. Dotun Babayemi (Gbongan), Kayode Oduoye (Ikirun), Baba Shuiab Oyedokun (Inisha), and Peter Power, Ero-Arike, Aaraji etc. all worked tirelessly for Demola’s 2022 victory, only to be cast aside when they refused to bow to Ede-centric governance (or should we say, the government of Davido, by the Egbeduns, for the Olajengbesis?). Now, the same script is being rehearsed for Hon. Wole Oke.
Pelumi Olajengbesi, the self-appointed attack dog, is hypocrisy personified. While he fraternizes with Omoyele Sowore and Adeyanju Deji ,professional government bashers, he vilifies Oke for praising PBAT’s policies. Where are Pelumi’s solutions amid all his allies’ endless condemnation? The truth is, this isn’t about party loyalty; it’s about silencing dissent and entrenching the Adelekes’ stranglehold on Osun PDP, a party they neither built nor sustained, unlike Oke and other true stakeholders.
The Adelekes’ treachery is well-documented. They left APC in malice, infected PDP with the same malice, and are now attempting to deceive the presidency into believing they’ll support PBAT’s second-term bid. But their game is up. Atiku and Bala Mohammed should save their strategies, this one’s already dead on arrival.
2026 will be the year Osun says NO to Demola Adeleke & PDP.
The people’s anger is boiling, and no amount of Pelumi Olajengbesi’s legal theatrics or AISU gate-crashers’ propaganda can stop it. The fading “Serubawon” spirit and PDP’s crumbling artificial unity are proof. When the time comes, the same hands that built Adeleke’s throne will tear it down and the process has already begun
Shalom✌
